Hey all,
I just got my Verizon 7 Plus 256GB this past Tuesday (9/27) and have been experiencing a weird issue that is ongoing and hopefully somebody might have some insight.
Since Tuesday, the phone has been activated and replaced my iPhone 6S Plus. I used the restore feature in iTunes to get all my photos and texts back like I've done for the past 4 years. Everything is up to date, carrier settings, iOS, everything. But here is where I have been experiencing issues.
I will be going about my day and at random, my phone disconnects from my watch (either showing the disconnected phone icon or when I swipe up on the watch it shows the cloud icon) I take my phone out of my pocket or off the desk or whatever and try to raise to wake and nothing. Black screen. Toggle the vibrate switch, no response. BUT when I press the home button, it still provides me with haptic feedback. To which I have to soft reset my phone... upwards of 20-30+ times per day to get my phone to work for a short while.
If I don't catch it, My phone receives no texts, calls, or plays my alarms throughout the duration of when the phone is "disconnected" but after soft reset, I get my onslaught of stuff I've missed which really sucks when you're in a conversation with somebody or when you have an alarm set to wake up...
Anyway,
I have already restored my iPhone to factory over 7 times per Apple's and my own troubleshooting attempts with all different types; Restoring back from the iPhone 6S Plus' working OS, Setting up as a new iPhone, putting the iPhone in DFU mode and trying both the "Update" and "Restore" functions in iTunes... No dice.
Apple has run their AST 2.0 diagnostics on the phone multiple times and nothing is coming back hardware or software wise and I don't know what to do at this point. It is frustrating and very inconvenient having to reset my phone so much and miss phone calls and texts due to this issue.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so, what have you done to resolve it?
Any advice?
