I can't help but notice how the regular iPhone 7 screen appears sharper than the 6 and 6s. I know it's the same 326ppi as before but still.

Is this thanks to the wider color gamut? Has anyone else noticed? Or is it 100% placebo?

I noticed that colors are much deeper. I honestly thought that "wide color gamut" was going to be some kind of marketing term, but comparing some color rich apps like PlayStation App or photos I took with my 6s and my 7, the colors were much more vivid, the text indeed looked sharper, and the display overall brighter and better. It honestly felt almost like an AMOLED when not looking at blacks. Obviously nowhere near the quality of one but it definitely felt like one.
