iPhone 7 screen freeze when using rear camera

I used my camera extensively for the first time last night. I noticed on several occasions that the screen would momentarily freeze when I was snapping pictures, almost as if it needed a moment to process the image. It didn't happen every time but it was noticeable compared to my 6s. Has anyone else noticed this? These were shots of mostly moving subjects (kids at the fair).

Mine does this too. It takes about 5-10 secs before the camera is usable

The camera on my 7+ freezes before the camera even fully opens to the live view. It's gets stuck on the frosted glass effect and can stay there for upwards of a minute. I should be getting a replacement device soon which hopefully won't have that issue.

When launching the camera app mine does this, too. Sometimes. I haven't had it freeze up while taking pictures though. But I haven't used the camera very much yet, either.
