I bought an iPhone 7, but had to return it due to the no signal bug. I had planned to buy the Apple smart battery case to go along with it. I work a lot of 14-16 hour shifts in an extremely low signal area. My iPhone 8+ will be under 50% after a day at work when I don't even look at it once and just keep it in my pocket. I countered this by picking up an Android phone with a 5000mah battery. It gets me through the day, but I'm missing iOS.
I can't use the 11 pro max due to pwm, and the 11 or Xr are more than I want to spend for a secondary phone. I figure the iPhone 7 can be had for $200, and then $80 for an apple smart battery case. For a little under $300, that's probably the best way to get long battery life on iOS.
Can anyone who used an iPhone 7 with the smart battery case comment on this? I might even sell my 8+ for $400 or so, and just wait for next year. Just trying to see if the claims Apple makes about the battery case are realistic in real world usage. Sucks I can't join you guys on the 11 pro max.
