I’m only interested in the 8/8+ as they didn’t say anything about battery life or screen res, only that they were new retina hd screens.

It seems strange for Apple to not talk about battery life. After all, they mentioned how the thinness of the iWatch stayed the same. Why could they have done the same for the 8, 8+ and the X?

Looking at the Apple website battery life estimates are exactly the same as the iPhone 7.

Screen is same resolution too. Only difference is addition of True Tone.

Screen res is the same. Just seen the tech spec on Apple store app. Shame really. They should of at least bumped up the res for the 8.

Thanks for linking this. This is very very clear. Having preference over small form factor ( nothing against the Plus, but it's just too big for me...) battery life alone makes me want to wait for the X. Is camera quality supposed to be better on the X?

So looking at the pricing, I think it's dumb how they got rid of the 128:

$1149 for iPhone X @ 256GB
$849 for iPhone 8 @ 256GB

Thats $300 for..
- Face recognition and animoji fun
- "Fake" edge to edge display, but more than the 8
- Better camera
- 2 hours more battery life than 7 (and 8? right?)... which translates to 21 hours (for X) vs 14 hours (for 8).. which is actually 7 hours more battery life in a small form factor
- Smaller than Plus form factor for all of Plus features including better camera

Am I missing anything? Value-wise, it looks like it might actually be worth the X for those features listed?
