iPhone 8 activation nightmare

so I've been trying to get my vzw iPhone 8 activated and it has been a complete nightmare so to speak. I'm stuck in limbo where my iPhone 8 keeps asking for a billing zip code and last four of my social security number. it shows activated online but allow me past that screen. meanwhile my old iPhone 6 is deactivated hence i can't make any calls meaning i can't call apple or verizon for help. #sad

Just take the old sim and insert it into the new phone.
 
I've tried that and it doesn't work. it just keeps asking for my billing zip code and social security number i enter them and it keeps saying they're wrong when they're not
 
I'm working with verizon but they seem clueless. I really hope I don't have to got to an apple store. its quite a trip and the whole reason i ordered online is so i wouldn't have to travel. ugh first world problems
 
It was a PITA for me to activate on ATT. It took several tries before finally working.
