iPhone 8 charge wirelessly face down?

I put my iPhone 6s face down on my night stand, so the screen won't turn on when notifications come in at night. With the iPhone 8, can you put the phone face down on a Qi pad and charge wirelessly?

If i have to put the 8 face up to charge wirelessly, I'll probably just just charge via the Lightning port and put the phone face down.

Configure do not disturb to automatically switch on and off at the times you see fit.

Agree with the previous poster. Either turn of Do Not Disturb manually (swipe up to get control panel and click on the moon), or go to Settings > Do not disturb, and set up your phone to do it automatically at night.
