Hi guys,

Awaiting the 8+ to arrive shortly and in the meantime have a car charger question.
Obviously we know from the apple website that in order to fast charge your 8/8+ you need to use a USB-C 29W charger and the USB-C to lightning cable.

Now for the car charging what is the power specifications the iPhone 8/8+ uses Volts x Amps to achieve its fast charge so that I can find an appropriate and safe fast car charger. Im on the road on the phone a lot in/out so fast charge is important to me and my specific uses.

The standard iPhone 8/8+ charger is 5W (5V x 1A) so its easy to find a car charger at that standard rating. Look for 5w 5v X 1A.

Have we got the fast charge power ratings info yet?

Cheers all,

Matt
