Can you prove I have proof
How do you know thats a 12W charger. No way 12W does 18% in 30 minutes. I guarantee you its the standard 5W charger included.

Edit:
He even says its the charger included. Thats 5W.

3Hours 27 Minutes at 5W = 40% of the current compared to 12W
So: 5W = 3:27 (Estimated)
Then: 12W = 2:04 (from 1%, not the 10% that I had claimed). Additionally, he also mentioned in the video he don't know when it hit 100% because at 3:23 it was at 99%. There are so many flaws with this.

But your claim of 50% in 90 minutes with a 12W charge is completely false, even 5W charged it faster. 54% in 90 minutes. So thank you for proving our point with your "proof".

We already have fast charging, just use an ipad 12w plug and your iPhone will charge way quicker than the regular 5w plug included with the phone.
Agree with you! Atleast that is the only solution for fast charging :D

If it holds the glass black, there is a possibility apple might add wireless charging.

Some of the features we wish for or hope for will be confirmed or shot down on the day of the keynote. The only confirm information we have regarding the iPhone 8 is no home button and full edge to edge display.

That's faster charging, but not fast charge. Most Android phones these days can be charged at ~20W, and get you 7+ hours of usage from 15 minutes of charging.

Correct - 'fast charge' is a completely different animal than charging with a more powerful charger.

The latter was always possible on iPhones.

Interesting.
So even faster than using the 12W ipad charger? Cause that's also pretty quick. Within 10-15 minutes I can boost up an additional 40-50% charge.
15 minutes to fully charge the device from 5% to 100% for example?
That's pretty cool.

Yes much faster, remember that most Android phones have a 3000mah+ battery, which is nearly twice as large as the regular iPhone

who you fooling 90 minutes iPhone 7 plus reaches hardly 50 percentwith 12w charger
Then you definitely have an issue. My 7Plus will go from 10%->100% in 90 minutes flat. I do it daily. 30 minutes ago I plugged my phone in at 59%, its now at 93%.

Nor I...slow and steady is alright with me. In fact, I prefer it.

I have a powerblock on my desk...strictly for others to use (if they want).
Yep, same here. I prefer my battery to last longer than a year.

my iP5 charged faster on a 10w brick than the 5w. same as my iP6 and have had zero issues.

Its apparently iPhone 6 and up.

"Notably, this trick only works on the iPhone 6 and 6s. While you can still charge older iPhones with an iPad charger, those devices won’t charge any faster.

“Unlike earlier iPhone models which would only draw 5W regardless of the charger being used, the new phones are capable of drawing up to 12W, allowing them to charge at a faster rate,” MacRumors noted a while back."

Why would I need to prove to you what I been experiencing with multiple devices for over 2-3 years?
You think I'm making it up for fun?
Its okay, his proof proved us right lol. It took 90 minutes to charge the iPhone 7 Plus 54% with 5W. And he claimed 12W won't do 50% in 90 minutes. But if 5W can.

Maybe its a placebo, because the matter of fact is, faster charger did not start until the iPhone 6/6Plus. Maybe it took 5.5W instead of 5W, but the devices were not capable of taking 8W, 9W, 10W+. As mentioned your iPhone 6 would charge faster, not your iPhone 5. The iPhone 6 has a larger battery than the iPhone 5, so maybe thats why you think the iPhone 5 is charging faster.

i'm not the only one who noticed this with the 5 or 5s (some even had success with their 4s) and not sure what else to tell you. i know for a fact my iP5 charged faster using the iPad 10w brick.

Wireless charging has been the only rumor I have read for the OLED model, which will have a glass backing accordingly to incorporate the wireless charging.

I'm almost certain fast and wireless charging will be featured. Those 2 features are not new anymore but apple decided to add them now. The 8 will be an anniversary edition, so it will be special. I bought the 7, I won't be making a change until 8S or 9. Unless I hv extra cash and clear my debt, I would love to get it sooner.

Apple doing a good job of
'doubling down' on security this year
Rumors are abundant but unsubstantiated

Faster charging with iPad chargers hasn't always been possible with iPhones. It wasn't until the iPhone 6Plus (6sPlus?) that iPhones were capable of receiving the higher voltage/wattage of an iPad charger.

As for the want of 'Fast Charging', all it does is increase the rate at what the battery will degrade because of higher heat from charging. A 12W charger charges my 7Plus in 90 minutes from 10%. I don't really have any complaints about that.
