So I'm charging my iPhone 8 with the Mophie charger that Apple sells. For some reason every minute or two I heard the charging "bong" sound like it's reconnecting. So this isn't my first time charging a phone wirelessly and usually that means it's off-center. Not in this case, the iPhone is dead center. I've tried repositioning it and it continues to display this behavior. Anyone else having this issue?

Could be a faulty charging coil in the phone, try another phone and see if you get the same result.
I know Apple products are a little wanky with non-Apple approved products. Are you using one of the ones they sell?

[doublepost=1506124075][/doublepost]I tried a different wireless charger and it's doing the same thing. The only thing I'm doing right now is an iCloud restore so it's using a lot of battery so maybe it's dipping as it's charging and reconnecting? No idea.
iCloud restore explains it, in my opinion. I doubt if it will make the noise while idle and charging.
My iPhone 8+ in the Apple silicon case hasn’t had any issue charging on the Belkin Boostup pad I bought for it.
I have my 8 Plus in a Casemate Karat Case and it charges in the Belkin Boost Up fine as well.
My phone did that when iCloud restore was happening. Charged on the Samsung pad all night and never made a peep.
