It looks really good, i think it will look even better with the space wallpapers that have also leaked. The iPhone 8/Edition is looking to be a great update, looking forward to Tuesday's event
"People just need to accept the notch by now" ... or finally change to Android which may be (for example with the S8 or HTC 10) much better than iOS / iPhone.
After 8 years of iPhone dominance I decided to test the HTC 10 because I cannot accept Apple's price and restriction politic anymore. I mean, +1000€ for the coming iPhone!? For that I have to work 3 weeks!! I just hate that and I don't want to support it!
Since a week I have the HTC 10 and I discovered a new, very "reach" world.
Actually, I'm trying to dislike the HTC 10 or Android because I always had Apple products but I cannot find good reasons to stay with Apple and to buy the coming iPhone. My iPhone 6 is now so slow and compared to the HTC 10 so much slower!! The iOS 11 is really bad but also iOS 10 was not so fast. Further, the iOS is just boring. I cannot see this home page anymore. I hate it! So I need to change.

I mean, changing to android is fine if that works for you - but a notch isn't going to convince people to switch platforms.
By the way, did you know the notch is rumored for the Galaxy S9 and that Samsung actually filed a patent for a device with a notch last year? Hmmm

Why should Samsung do that? Which is the productive purpose of the notch? It is just U G L Y !! And the S8 is really beautiful for me.
Which is just fine. I have a Samsung device now, but have so many other options in the Android world if they decide to do this. No big deal really. The notch is ugly and will be on ANY phone.
Because the tech is not yet there to create a bezel-less display and hide the sensors/camera under the display. It's a design compromise that has to be made to in the meantime. That tech will be there in due time.

I've tried moving to Android twice. Once with the S5 and just this week with the Note 8. I don't know what it is but the software seems out to date, using Google service doesn't seem right to me, APPS with pop up advertisements, messages is just OLD. The phone itself is beautiful and better looking than the iPhone IMO, but software wise I prefer IOS. In the end that is what it comes down to, what do you prefer.
Yes. Compare a 3 year old iPhone to a brand new top line HTC. Accurate comparison. /s
If such a small, not hideous notch causes someone to change phones... I feel bad for you.
This is my feelings as well. I want a note 8 with IOS. No way in hell am I going to run anti-virus software on my damned cellphone.
I'll just have to wait until after the presentation and decide if I want to buy or just stick with my 7+ for now.
Really, don't buy into the propaganda and fear mongering. As long as you're not installing sketchy unauthorized apps apps on your phone, you're very unlikely to need anti-virus software on an Android phone. Even Windows isn't so bad if you have any common sense.
