iphone 8/X in EU apple stores

Do we know whether new iphones will be displayed in stores before preorders start? just to showcase them? Like, I would like to visit store during this weekend but not sure whether at least 8 will be there to try it...

I don't think they ever have been.

They normally put them on display overnight, before launch day.

I'm going to buy the iPhone X but still not sure if I will get the SpaceGrey or Silver one.
I always got the SpaceGrey / Black version because I wanted the Black front. But now it's not an issue anymore... so maybe I will get Silver to have a fresh new feeling.

so as preorders started for ip8, are they being showed in apple stores? or do I have to wait till they start selling them next week??
