iPhone able to video record in format other than 16:9?

I find the 16:9 format too wide for many scenes, and would prefer something closer to 3:2 or even 4:3. Given that photos and portrait movies are taken at lower aspect ratio, one would think that the phone can also be made to support things other than 16:9. Any thoughts?
