AT&T sent us home since we couldn't activate in store (about 8:30am CST). Apple's iTune download link wasn't working, so I used this mirror.
Running iTunes and clicking on my phone in "Devices" didn't work at first, but it just did (about 9:15am CST).
Hopefully others can get their iPhones working as well (I have a White 16GB). I haven't tried calling or anything yet, but I just wanted to let people know that I was successfully able to activate mine at home.
UPDATE: I was able to successfully make an outgoing call from my iPhone after activation! I switched from T-Mobile to AT&T, but my number has not ported over yet, so my T-Mobile phone still receives incoming calls at the moment.
