Me and my brother are both buying an iphone tomorrow. Will i need to pay the activation fees? On at&t's website it says no fees if you order now.

Okay, this has been asked because I have answered. Some are even on the first page!! They will be charged to your phone bill.

but it says free

Can you provide the link? Whenever you sign up for AT&T (or any other company), you get charged a $36 activation fee. If you are already a customer and upgrading, it is an $18 upgrade fee.

It says no fees for some phones. They are waiving it if you purchase the old iPhone.

I remember when I activated back in September of 2008 I asked to have the fee waived and they did it immediately without question.

YMMV
