iPhone Activation on iTunes (More than one)

Hi all. I'm at work and just bought an iPhone on my lunch break.
Im off to my girlfriends place tonight and want to get this iPhone activated ASAP.

Is the iPhone dedicated to ONE iTunes (similar to iPods),

Can I activate at her house, do a bit of customization... then go home, iTunes.. and it will remain as I've set it.

Or will it try to wipe everything (not too much of a problem) but what do you suggest?
