iphone activation problem

i bought an 3g iphone today, it came with a sim unlock, but no installer and cydia... i plugged it into itunes to sync my stuff but itunes gives me a
message about an uncompatible simcard, and to insert d sim dat came wit d phone to activate it....any ideas??

deres a sim in it, a t-mobile sim

It's either a bad SIM or.....the phone is not unlocked. My guess is that the phone is not unlocked.

You have to Jailbreak it. go into the hack section of the iPhone forums on how-tos and stuff.

ok...am following d tutorial from iclarified, but i've hit a brickwall
in order to jailbreak it i ave to hit d restore button wen d phone comes
up in itunes,, its shown on itunes,, but its not open,i cnt edit
or restore.... pls i need help!!!!!!!!!!!
