I was doing a restore to the legit 4.0 from my GM, and decided to browse the iTunes Store while my phone was re-syncing my music, and iTunes displayed a picture of an iPhone on a white page that read:
iPhone activations are currently unavailable..
Just thought it was interesting... maybe they're beefing up the servers to ensure a stable Thursday. I hope this is indicative that they will have everything under control.
 
beefing up servers won't help, what needs to happen is they need to add more servers, in cases like this numbers is what matters not processing power of a single computer.
