Has anyone had any issues with their AT&T activation on the iPhone X? Received my phone last Friday and can’t get past the activation screen. AT&T say the SIM card is already in use and our account shows the new phone on it. They say I may need a new SIM card. Live 3 hours from an AT&T store so haven’t tried it yet.

Ordered 3 X’s from Apple with AT&T service.

First delivered last Wednesday, had to hit ‘try again’ on the activation screen 3 times and then it went just fine.

Another delivered Thursday went just fine as well, but was activated by AT&T employees at an AT&T store.

Last one showed up today, but didn’t activate after 4 or 5 times hitting ‘try again’. Gave up for today. Will try again tomorrow.

On a side note, if AT&T tells you that you have to go into the store for something, speak to someone else before making that 3 hour drive. The second X I received was to be added as an additional line, and an idiot at customer service told me there was no way they could activate over the phone since the sim in the phone came from Apple. I drove to an AT&T store just to find out the employees there had to call the same number I called for activation and the sim in the phone was just fine.

Did you use the SIM that came with the phone?

If so, do you have a SIM from your previous phone you could use?

This sounds like something that could be fixed without a 3 hour tour.

Yes used the sim that came in the phone. The weird thing is that as soon as the phone shipped the iPhone 7plus I had previously went to no service. They sai the phone must have been pre activated. It has been a rough couple weeks without a phone for my wife. My X arrived on launch day and didn’t have any issues. I have talked to several Apple and AT&T reps over the phone and no one has been able to help. Luckily we will be traveling to my parents house for Thanksgiving and can stop at a store on the way. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue and if the store was able to resolve it.
