iPhone Air iPhone Air, can camera stay at 48mp?

I’ve noticed the camera seems to default back to 24mp after changing it to 48 while using the camera, and in the main settings I only see options for 12 and 24. Is it not possible to set 48 as default?

It should be able to. I think you have to turn on resolution control in camera settings and then go to the camera app and check the top right area and make sure it says something like 48 HEIC.

I have resolution control on, and the camera app lets me select 48. But the next time I open the app it’s back at 24.

Oh, you have to go under preserve settings in the camera settings I think.
