I have used screen protectors on my last several phones but am considering not using one for the Air. On one hand while I am not worried about scratches I am worried about breaking the display from a single drop. On the other hand I would like to have the Air as light as possible and not accidentally cover up the single speaker it has. Regardless of what I do I plan to get Apple Care for this phone.

Did you put a screen protector on your Air? If so, what brand and how is it working out for you? I have read the ones with the 3d edges seem to be the best.

Yes I did. I've used most of my past iPhones caseless (w/ AppleCare+), but have typically added a privacy screen protector, where you can't see the screen from the side but looks normal head-on. I did this on my last 3 phones: 13 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and now on my Air.

I've used the ESR Tempered Glass Privacy screen on my Air and 15PM. They come in a 3-pack on Amazon for $12.99 right now. No issues and I like having the privacy screen.

Put on an ESR tempered glass 9H. It went on perfect, can’t tell it’s there at all except for a slight edge when swiping up. Not sure it needs one but they’re $10 for a 3 pack so I figured why not. I have ordered the ultra slim Pitaka case in black but I’m not sure I’ll use it.

I did fresh from the box. I went on a whim and got the WSKEN brand and am very happy with it. $14 for 2. I’ve been using it longer than a week and not even a micro scratch. Fingerprint resistance is great too. Glad I didn’t go the flolab route this time around.

On all my previous iPhones I've put cases on them but never screen protectors.
Never dropped my phone. Never scratched the screen.
I don't "baby" the phone, just am a bit mindful when using it.

Now going totally naked with my new iPhone Air - no case, no screen protector, as God and Apple intended (?).
The phone feels "grippier" in its original form; Apple's bumper case and clear case both feel slippier to my touch.
(I may live to regret this!)

Ugreen protector here. I’d prefer none, but since my toddler has already knocked my Air off the table onto tiled flooring a case and screen protector are necessary protection.

First time no.

Hoping the durable ceramic shield will keep it safe while naked...

I do have a case on it because I carry my iPhones on my belt.

I use my phones completely naked. If you’re not worried about scratches than Apple care is all you need. The cost of a nice protector (I haven’t seen a perfect one for the Air yet) will be the cost to replace the screen so why bother spending it on a protector?

Here’s me going caseless and screen protectorless… hairline crack after it slipped out my hand getting in my car lol. Maybe about a 3.5-4’ drop and I think it hit the side at first. Scrapes on my titanium rail at the top and then that crack. I’m getting it fixed with AppleCare and then more than likely adding a screen protector. The scrapes on the titanium aren’t that bad or too noticeable but sad I already damaged it this early. Usually I’m pretty good at not dropping it
