Alongside the unveiling of the new iPhone Air, Apple today announced new accessories for the ultra-thin iPhone, including the iPhone Air Case with MagSafe, iPhone Air Bumper, and Crossbody Strap.

The new iPhone Air Case with MagSafe is a translucent case that is less than 1mm thick, with Frost and Shadow options. Meanwhile, the iPhone Air Bumper (shown above) is a lightweight polycarbonate bumper case that wraps around the edge of the iPhone Air, with Tan, Light Gray, Light Blue, and Black color options.

Finally, there is a Crossbody Strap that attaches directly to select new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air cases, including the iPhone Air Case with MagSafe, iPhone Air Bumper, TechWoven Cases, and Silicone Cases. It costs $59, and it is available in 10 colors: black, light gray, blue, light blue, purple, sienna, green, neon yellow, tan, and orange.

With the Crossbody Strap, you can wear your iPhone. It is essentially a magnetic lanyard, with stainless steel sliding mechanisms for adjusting the length.

Wow, the bumper. I feel young again. NO, YOU'RE HOLDING IT WRONG! Haha. Hopefully the camera doesn't have a big green spot in the center...

Loving the bumper - pretty much exactly what I want until my current bumper maker comes out an iPhone Air compatible number (Raegr brand).

That's actually eastetically very good. And I've been looking for something bumperesque since I got my 15P...

My thoughts exactly. I was watching the presentation with my friend on Discord, he was excited for the return of the MagSafe battery pack, and I said about "the 'you're holding it wrong' bumpers" being back as well!

My wife already has a strap on but if this iPhone Air has a delicate Taptic Engine I might try it out.

It seems as though the only problem with the bumper is that it leaves the camera totally unprotected. This wasn't a problem in the iPhone 4 days because the camera didn't extend past the body, IIRC. You drop this thing in just the right spot, and that camera is toast.

My current case on my iPhone 16 Pro extends just enough so that the lens won't make contact with the ground if the phone were to drop.
