The Apple support page for the Air MagSafe battery doesn't mention two way wireless charging, and I found nothing online saying that it has it.

But out of curiosity I placed the Air MagSafe battery on a Qi 1 charger, and to my surprise the orange light on the battery turned on then off which apparently indicates that it's charging. I then attached the battery to a Qi 2 charger. It was more difficult to align it since the charging circle needs to be aligned perfectly and there was no magnetic attraction, but I eventually aligned it and again the orange light turned on.

Has anybody else tried this? Is it technically charging but maybe not measurably or something?

I would leave it charging overnight to see if it charges up but I'm a little concerned it might mess up the battery if it's not meant to be charged that way. Also I just unboxed the battery so I figure I should follow instructions and charge via wire for the first charge at least.
