I know the air is thinner but it's also slightly taller and wider than the pro.

I have used a 11pro for so long because it's Apples smallest "pro" phone ever. Now they have the air, which is thin, but also it's taller and a larger screen size than a pro.

To a person who likes a smaller phone, is the air much bigger than the pro? I didn't like the maxes because they were so big... but the air seems just as big as the older generation maxes.

Would you suggest I go for an Air or a Pro given, I like smaller phones?

So I currently have the 17 Pro and Air to try them out and coming from iPhone 15 Pro Max. As you say, the Air is thinner and lighter (and feels amazing) but it’s definitely taller and I can notice that when I use it.. I’m feeling more comfortable with the 17 Pro which is better for one hand use.

Keep in mind the 17 Pro 6.3" is almost the same screen size as the 11 Pro Max 6.5". The only "small" phone left is the 16e at 6.1". Nothing new is available that is 5.8" like your phone.

That is what I was thinking I'd might end up like as well. Do you think you'll end up with the pro though, despite the Air's premium feeling?

Yeah, and that is why I held on to this 11 pro for so long. Stainless steel and it doesn't have the sharp corners. It's time to upgrade though. So I am torn between smaller pro or thinner Air.

I don't think there is a clear cut choice given the information. While the 17 Pro is slightly smaller than the Air it weighs a lot, its heavy. Due to that I would go with the Air but obviously the best thing you could do is go to a store and hold them both.
