iPhone and Bluetooth

but is it right that the iPhone has no file transfer via Bluetooth?
I just read somewhere that it didn't.

yup, no bluetooth transfer, i tired syncing my mac to my phone and you can't do anything really

edit i just tried it again, it says it does not have the necessary service or something when i try to send a file.

it requires apple to write new drivers

Not impossible.
I'm pretty sure some people have figured out tethering through BT (or maybe just WiFi?).
It'd have to be jailbroken though.

the iPhone has Bluetooth for headsets, it just doesn't support file transferring over Bluetooth

Nope. No Bluetooth hacks through jailbreaking.

Bluetooth on the iPhone is restricted to just using for calls. So headsets work.

But stereo headsets and file transfer do not.
