Hello folks.
Just wanted to share an observation and an issue I encountered.
I got my iPhone 11 128 recently, and connected it via Bluetooth, to my 2017 Renault Megane via R-Link 2.
Now, this version did not come with Android Auto or Carplay, the issue I will take care of on my next upgrade.
The phone worked, and contacts synced, so everything worked until I tried to play some Spotify, as I did on my previous Android device. And bam, while media audio is on in R-Link 2 settings and Bluetooth setting for R-Link are set as the car stereo, the stuff does not play, when I switch between sources as in FM, DB, or other, Bluetooth does not even appear.
So, I went and bought an adapter for 3.5mm, decided I'll go with Aux, had turn off media audio in-car settings, connected, plaid for about 10 min, then media audio connection is triggered again, and nothing.
When try to play something on the phone, it plays for about a second and pauses.
So after a bit of googling, people suggested to go and buy a song on iTunes store, play it on Apple Music, and it will work. Amazingly, this worked, when connected, it does trigger Apple Music, but then I switch to Spotify, and it plays.
So, is it an iOs problem or is it Renault's problem? I hope non of that will happen when I upgrade to a newer model with Carplay
