I have an idea to bypass the rather limited camera on the Iphone.. Why can apple not provide support for the "camera adapter" which I have for the Ipod... People can take pictures with their usual digital cameras, connect the camera adapter, upload into a camera roll and email from there?? That to me makes a shed load of sense!

I just get the bubble saying "not supported" when I attach the camera adapter

I'll add my vote for this!
During my last several trips I have been using my Nokia N800 which has two SD card slots to email my camera photos, and to organize them on the SD cards. Wouldn't it be nice to have an SD card adapter for the iPhone that does this...

Not only does the camera adapter not work for iPhones, it doesn't work for the current generation of iPods. It's an amazing device, and I use it with my video iPod to take and store hundreds of pictures when I'm travelling -- it's a shame Apple seems to have stopped supporting it.
