iPhone and Envirophone

So my phone is playing up. the noise cancellation is broken so i can't make any calls. it will be about £200 i have been told to fix so i was planning on sending to Envirophone and then taking the £280 there offering and getting a 4GS. my question is i think i can get it to work for one call so how good is the check they do on the phones? if i can get it working i can take the full amount if not what will they offering for a phone that doesn't work as a phone

I don't see how that would happen as they're not idiots and will check the phone and give what is worth for a damaged phone?

They'll test it thoroughly and will make you an offer of (typically) around 50% of the working price for a non-working iPhone as long as it's otherwise good condition
