Hi guys,

I currently use an Android phone for no real reason other than it was supplied to me by my workplace. I'm looking to upgrade and have been mulling over my options.

I'm sick of carrying around both my phone and iPod separately - so an iPhone could solve that problem neatly (I do not like the Android music player and I've gotten very fond of iTunes - been using it since 2nd gen iPod).

However I'm concerned about the Google apps - particularly Gmail. My current phone is basically a Gmail machine, I love the app's interface and how easily I can manage both my work and personal accounts.

I'm curious if anyone here has used both the Android and iPhone Gmail client and can tell me if I'm going to have a similar, better or worse experience?

I have no real affinity to either ecosystem and barely ever touch third-party apps (I once downloaded a notepad app and used it twice in a year...) so my needs are pretty much limited to Gmail and music.

Appreciate any and all help.
