iPhone (and iPad) Not Showing Up in iTunes 10

Is anyone able to help a girl out?

My iPad and iPhone are not showing up in iTunes 10.

I am using a Macbook Pro, I have an iPhone 4, and an iPad 2.

I have already tried restoring the iPhone and DFU Mode, as I read in this posting:

It would be great if someone could kindly help me troubleshoot, I need to sync my contacts for business!
