iPhone (and iPad) Not Showing Up in iTunes

Hi,

Is there anyone who can help me out?

My iPhone (and actually my iPad too) are not showing up in iTunes.

I need to sync my contacts!

I am using:

iPhone 3GS Version 4.3.5
iTunes 10.6.3

The iPhone's wireless services have been going really slowly lately too...I haven't been able to successfully post up Instagram photos.

It would be great if someone could help me solve these technical issues..thank you in advance!
