Hi all
On my mother in law's iPhone 14, when she gets notifications, they also come on her iPad (first gen iPad Pro, wifi only).
Will these notifications still be synced if the devices are in completely different places/countries / not on the same network?

In particular, I want to make sure regular text messages also appear on the iPad, even if the iPhone is no where near.

Please let me know how to double check this setting (not sure of the name) - is it just settings -> notifications -> messages?

Thank you

There’s no such thing as “synced” push notifications. Each device gets its own push notifications.

As for text messages, the way that works is the text message arrives on the phone and then gets pushed to other devices logged into the same iCloud/iMessage account that are enabled to receive them. It doesn’t matter where the device is as long as it’s connected to the Internet and the phone is on.

Only devices listed under Settings -> Messages -> Text Message Forwarding will get them.
