iPhone and iTunes Issue

Not sure how to get around this. I have purchased a iPhone 5 and set it up as a new phone and linked my iCloud account all remotely from the device it self, meaning never plugging it into iTunes on my mac. Now when I attempted to plug it in and get some ringtones I made it prompts me to set up as new or restore from back up. Problem is the backups are old old ones on the computer and I don't want to set up as new. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
