So if the rumors are true about a newtonish refresh.. then the 3G iphone would have to come sooner right? there is no way they would release them at the same time and kill each others thunder... so when else could the 3G iphone be released??

Sure they could. They're Apple; they do what they want. BTW, His Steveness would never release something called 'Newton'; a little bit of him would die inside.

I don't have the strength to be sarcastic. It's highly likely. Hope that helps.

Apple could always introduce a couple of versions of the same product.

Sorry to ask a stupid question but, what is the Newton Redux?
Newton Wiki page.

Newton 2100.

The original Newton was released too early. It was not ready for prime time. The Newton 2100 was awesome for it's time. Some of us still have an use them -- some 11 years after they were introduced. Unfortunately, by the time the Newton 2100 was introduced, the Newton had a bad rap from earlier models that never disappeared.

Thanks!

But, why do people suspect that a new one will be announced at WWDC? (Sorry, I've only been reading about the iPhone for the past week or so)

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't know that Newton was the rumored "Larger iPhone"

i really cant see apple basically releasing another ipod touch but with a slightly bigger screen so it doesnt fit in your pocket, or doing yet another sdk/app store to accommodate (otherwise its just exactly the same stuff upscaled), the ipod touch IS a tablet but better cause it fits in your pocket.
