Quickoffice Files seems to be what you are looking for, but it's not free.

EDIT: It seems to not work with iWork '09 either ...

Quickoffice Files will list any files without restriction. However, only the following file types can be viewed or played on the device:

* Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, .tiff, .gif and .svg
* Microsoft Word: .doc and .docx
* Microsoft Excel: .xls and .xlsx
* Microsoft PowerPoint: .ppt and .pptx
* iWork: Pages, Numbers & Keynote (iWork '09 is not supported and WiFi transfer of iWork files is not supported at this time.)
* Adobe Acrobat: .pdf
* Web Pages: .htm and .html
* Web Archive: .mht
* Audio: .mp3

I use iWork'08 and i see the following.

If I open the file through email, it does not open correctly.

But if I use one of the disk storage apps like Air Sharing, AirDisk or Discover, a weird bug appears. The pages file is decompressed and the actual file appears as an image. This is infrequent because sometimes the app displays the file correctly. At other times, it is this.
