Is it not as good as other phones? Everyone around me has better service all the time. On any network. I lose service so much when other people rarely do. It seems just the almighty iPhone does this. It's great but if it can't function as a phone first then I don't want it.

Mine works great here in Denver/Boulder. I have had the 3GS since July and have only dropped 1 call.

If it's not working out, sell it and get a different phone.

If its really that difficult for you, don't use ebay.
Otherwise, there are plenty of instructions on the site on how to sell.
Its easy.

Have the iPhone since a month now, never had any problems with calls/network.
Actually has the same "strenght" on networks as my Nokias N73 and N95.

I find my 3GS service comparable with my previous phone, BB Curve.
When I'm in the basement at my house or work, iPhone has much better service though... Maybe that's the 3G thing...
