iOS iPhone app: playing sound will 'pause' ipod, but how to start it again?

Hi,

Read a few tips on here but am now posting as I couldn't find anything relevant already posted!

When our app plays a sound while the iPod is running it (the phone) happily pauses the iPod. Now, my question is this: is there a way for the app to 'un-pause' the ipod once it's sound has finished playing?
