iPhone App to Control iPad (Videos, iPod)

So on a recent family road trip we decided to mount our iPad so that our toddler could watch cartoons during the long car ride. Only problem we had is the lack of the ability to control the volume of the iPad from the front seats. Is there an app for the iPhone that allows it to control the volume and other media functions of the iPad?

P.S. I searched and did not find anything. No MRoogle replies please.
