macOS iPhone Application - UIView background?

Hi,

I am trying to design my application to have a static background image and on top of that I want the tabBar, navigationBar and a bunch of UIViews that will display data.. the closest example that i could think of is

http://www.guidedways.com/mobile/ipray/download_ipray.php

I dont' want the exact graphics but I am looking for the similar application layout.. also the animation that happens when you click on the tabbar i can't seen to find info on that anywhere.

any ideas?
