iPhone application (usb not bluetooth) to send txt/receive calls?

Hi there, basically what i want to know is if there is an application that has the functions of bluephone elite (or similar) which allows you to send sms using your computer as well as dialling and receiving calls. Now bluephone elite doesn't work with the iphone due to bluetooth stuff being ***** (something about the sdk), so i was wondering if there was an application that works via usb?

I never understood the point of BluePhone Elite. Just pick up your phone and call someone, why do I need software to do this for me??

tbh its mainly for texting, much faster and easier with the keyboard and then archiving of text messages etc.

Having said that, i've had quite a few problems with picking up the iphone when its connected to the mac to answer calls - on the way to university and i realise all my music has been wiped (has happened numerous times. After switching the dock to the power supply instead of the computer connection, ui havent had any issues...)
