iphone apps auto install on itunes?

Is there a setting that will auto install an app i download on my phone onto itunes. I notice all my iphone apps are not in my itunes, even though i have sync it with itunes. Why are my iphone apps not in my itunes? Each time i restore or do a backup, everything backs up but none of the apps? TIA

When you're at the info page of your iphone in itunes there should be an option back up to icloud or back up to this computer.
Choose backup to this pc and it should transfer the app's to your pc. At least it did the trick for me

You can also right click on your device while connected to iTunes and select "Transfer Purchases".

Another option is to go to iTunes preferences, and go to the Store tab. In there you can check a box for automatically downloading apps you've downloaded on other devices. No need to plug in your iPhone with this method.
