iPhone as PS3 headset?

Is it to use an iphone as a headset for the PS3. I know that the iphone has the bluetooth needed and it has a mic in the earbuds. Or will i have shell out the fifty bucks and by myself a real headset.

The iPhone is similar to the PS3 in this instance, it works with a bluetooth headset just like the PS3 does. It would send a signal to a headset just like a PS3, there's no way of doing what your asking unless your jailbroken, even then I wouldn't know what you'd have to do!

The Official PS3 headset is only £17.99 online so if its going cheap in America I'd pick one up.
