I just recently decided to do auto sync with my iTunes library, since I always have whatever is on my computer library on my iPhone and it was easier then having to drag everything over. However I had some questions.

why are some songs showing on my iPhone in iTunes with a circle and are faded? Also, when I go to that song on my actual iPhone it says remove download or delete from library?

Also why does it show I have one more song in the "audio section bar", but in the music tab it matches the amount of songs that are in my iTunes library. What could this extra song be? Also on my iPhone it says download music 75gb, but on my computer says 70gb? so weird

Im confused as to why they are like this since the songs do play either way if I'm on airplane mode with no date or wifi.

Edit: I think I figured it out. Whenever I purchase a song on iTunes it also "downloads" to my phone. So what I did to fix the above was I went to my phone in setting music section and deleted all the downloads. Now I am syncing with my iTunes library and it should fix that issues. I think..

The best way to fix the issue you are mentioning at the end of this post is to convert your music to a format that does not have your purchase info, such as WAV format or m4a Apple lossless.

And, the reason why they have “remove download” and “delete from library”, which makes no sense to local iTunes library user anyway is because when using Apple Music, your “library” is a list of songs you have added under your account. Removing the song from your library deletes local cache and remove that song from that list. “Remove download” simply removes local cache but nothing happens to your Apple Music library. For local iTunes user, on the other hand, both actions most of the time do the same thing.

Good to know.I just checked my setting music tab and it says 75gb, but iTunes says 70 gb. What is the extra 5 gb? is it audio files that the iPhone itself has that I cannot remove? like tones and etc?
