Acccording to French newspaper le Monde, iPhone is available in France. Although negociations between Orange and Apple are still under way, the Leclerc supermarket of Frouard (North-East) imported iPhone from a reseller.

The phones are sold legally with manual and warranty. However, it is recommended not to update it with iTunes, which might brick it.

Other French retailers (Surcouf, Fnac) are reportedly interested in selling unlocked iPhones within the next few weeks at prohibitive prices, knowing that the deal between Orange and Apple might be postponed until early 2008.
