So my iPhone was acting up, so I decided to factory restore it and then planed to use my back-up file from a few days ago.

So here's the best part. I wipe and restore my phone and when I try to use my back-up, it says it's corrupt or some lame thing like that and won't work.

Luckily, I have just switched my iTunes library from my old desktop PC to my new MBP about 3 weeks ago. I still have my desktop with my iTunes on their as well and I was wondering if I could find the file from an older back-up and restore from that.

If I can do that, can anyone tell me where the file would normally be at and what it may be called or it's extension.

I would appreciate it :)

On Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

On Windows Vista:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\AppleComputer\MobileSync\Backup

On Mac:
/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup

Essentially, just look for MobileSync.
