iPhone Backup: Size and Location?

I have yet to do a full backup, because it takes too friggin' long for me...

And I'm also limited on the space on my C:

How big is the file/directory size of a full backup?
And is there a way to relocate the destination of the backup folder, say to my D:?

I'm running iTunes on XP...
