hey guys,

I'm planning to use my phone GPS for bush walking. I'm trying to calculate the discharge rate on the battery when running the GPS app constantly with the backlight always on.

Is there an app which indicates what the overall current mAh consumption is of the battery for all apps running?

The reason I want the discharge rate, I'm trying to source a AA battery pack for the phone and want to know how many charges I would get with 4 AA lithium batteries.

Also interested if anyone has one of these battery packs.

Thanks

You might want to consider a battery case instead:

Thanks for the reply Mike. I would prefer something which used AA batteries as I could carry quite a few in my back pack incase the iphone then booster went flat.

This enable me to have more back up power, rather than buy 3-4 of those units.

is there an app which does this? Is it not possible to measure this off the iphone? I'm not a developer, maybe one can shed some light.
