Hi everyone,

I've noticed that recently my batter is draining super fast.

Last night I charged it overnight and I got up a little after 6:00am. I unplugged it around 6:45am, checked e-mails and went about getting ready again. Adound 7:30am I noticed it was at 79%, while holding it in the car it was down to 77%. I turned it off, put it back in my purse and got to work around 8:01am. It was at 73%. I played Tetrus for 1 minute and it was at 71%. I did nothing on it, a few minutes later and it was 68% at 8:15am. It's now 8:20am and it's at still at 68%.

68% by 8:20am is crazy.

Edited to add, that by 8:21am when I posted this - it's at 67%

Please help me figure out what is going on and how to stop this fast drain.

Thanks,
Melanie

Try a full cycle charge. Let the phone run down to under 20% then leave it charging for about 5 hours. If that doesn't fix it then I'm not sure what else to try.

Mine was doing that last weekend, it will be in Apple's hands within a few hours. If you are still in warranty, that is a pretty good route to go.

So If I take it back to Apple - I got it in Aug last year, and it's not working properly would they replace it.........hmmm now if they would only give me an Iphone 4! I'd even pay to upgrade, lol! I know they can run a test on it, etc.

I'll have to go see them soon, cuz this stinks. It's down to 47%.

Also - It was completely down under 20% when I recharged last night.
