Hello,

I have an iPhone 3G 8GB which will now last for about half a day before its battery dies, after a full charge.

Few questions about Apple's battery replacement program:

1. Is there a limit to how long after I have bought the device, that I can give it to Apple for battery replacement? Fee is listed as £55 on the website: http://www.apple.com/uk/support/iphone/service/battery/ but there is no mention of how long after purchase date the phone can be given. I bought the phone 2 years ago.

2. The phone is currently legally unlocked (by O2). Can I safely assume my replacement will be the same?

Many thanks

1, you go into an apple store and they test the battery and check water sensors. If the bettery is faulty and the sensors are White they charge you for a brown box replacement. Simple

2, as soon as you insert your sim and sync with iTunes the server knows it was a replacemnent and unlocks your iPhone.
