All of a sudden my wife's 5s battery started draining like mad. We're talking about 1% per min. It would need charged a couple of times per day. I reset setup as new phone but still the same. We gave up in the end and bought her an SE.

We decided the 5s would do my daughter so I bought a brand new battery and installed it, setup as a new user etc and still this battery drain issue persists.

I'm baffled by it all. She has no apps running mad in the background that I can see.

Any ideas?

title is a little deceiving thinking it was just recently replaced. you can take it to an apple store and see what they tell you. If you can, check the battery with coconutBattery on a mac. my replacement iP6 is 2yrs and 4mos old and i need a mophie battery case for it to survive all day. may need to replace it again.

Or the OP can have Apple conduct a free battery test as well. They can also help troubleshoot what the issue may be, before replacing the battery.
